When a tooth is knocked out, time is the most critical factor. Gently rinse the tooth with water, being careful not to touch the root, and try to place it back in the socket if possible. If it won’t stay, keep the tooth moist in a small container of milk or a tooth preservation kit and come to our office immediately. Quick action greatly increases the chances of saving your natural tooth.

How can I manage dental pain until I arrive at the office?

To help manage discomfort until you reach us, you may use over-the-counter pain relievers as directed, apply a cold compress to the outside of your cheek to reduce swelling, and rinse gently with warm salt water.
